Pendul Privacy Policy
This policy covers Pendul, the iOS app made by umage.ai. The short version: Pendul does not collect, track, or transmit your personal data. Everything it does happens on your device. This policy explains exactly what that means.
1. The short version
- No account, no sign-up, no login.
- No tracking, no advertising, no third-party analytics.
- No umage.ai servers are involved — there is nothing for us to collect.
- Your home and work places are stored only on your device.
- Nothing about where you go ever leaves your phone.
2. Who is responsible
The app is published by umage.ai. Because Pendul collects no personal data, there is no central database of users or trips. For any question about this policy, contact us at .
3. What Pendul stores, and where
Pendul stores only the two places you set up — your home and work locations — so it knows which route to check. These are kept on your device (in the app's local storage) and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes them.
4. Location
If you grant location access, Pendul uses your current position only to decide your starting point and direction (for example, a home-to-work sweep in the morning). Your location is used on your device to request drive times and is not stored by us or sent to any umage.ai server. Location access is optional; without it, Pendul uses your saved places instead.
5. How drive times are calculated
Travel times come from Apple Maps (via Apple's MapKit), requested directly from your device. To return a traffic-aware estimate, Apple processes the relevant origin, destination, and timing. This is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy and the Apple Maps terms. umage.ai does not operate any routing server and does not receive this data.
6. No tracking
Pendul contains no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs, and no analytics. It does not build a profile of you and does not track you across apps or websites. Its App Store privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types.
7. Children
Pendul is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, correction, deletion, and more. Because Pendul holds no personal data about you on our side, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or erase. The only data the app uses — your saved places — is entirely under your control on your device and is removed when you delete the app. You may also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.dk).
9. Changes to this policy
If Pendul ever changes how it handles data, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. The current version always lives at this URL.
